MNGT 420 - Senior Capstone - Management

The ability to develop a business plan is essential before starting and operating a business successfully. In this course students demonstrate prior learning obtained in management and management-related courses. Students will, through the development of a comprehensive business plan and through simulation, explore the implementation and development of a business plan over the course of the semester.

Working individually and in groups students will develop an in-depth understanding of the business opportunity, including analysis of the industry and competitive landscape. Using case study, simulation and guest speakers, students will evaluate a series of business scenarios leading to the development of a business plan that is suitable for presentation to investors, vendors and key employees. Prereq: Senior standing and completion of all program-specific required coursework, including all required internships.
