COMM 1400H - Honors Communication: Methods and AudiencesArts & Sciences This honors-level course introduces students to the methods of communication found in academic, professional, and personal settings. Students learn approaches to interpersonal, group, and cross-cultural communication, with an emphasis on both informational and persuasive public speaking. Students are expected to integrate data and visual information into course materials and to develop effective storytelling techniques. A foundational course in the general education program, this course prepares students to communicate effectively in a manner that welcomes diverse perspectives and identities. credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in the Fashion Scholars Program or by permission of the Department Chair
