COMM 1500H - Honors Introduction to Mass MediaArts & Sciences Department This course is an introduction to the study of mass media in today’s society. Students will learn to understand the human social condition by examining bodies of knowledge associated with analyzing past and present expressions of cultural beliefs, behaviors and experiences, while critically exploring media to gain an understanding of the historical, economic, regulatory and ethical implications of the changing mass media landscape. credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): ENGL 1100 and enrollment in the Fashion Scholars Program, or by permission of the Department Chair
