CANN 3402 - The Cannabis Supply ChainBusiness Department “A supply chain consists of all stages involved, directly or indirectly, in fulfilling a customer request. The supply chain not only includes the manufacturer and suppliers, but also transporters, warehouses, retailers and customers themselves.” (Chopra, Sunil, and Peter Meindl, 2003, Supply Chain, Second Edition, Upper Saddle River, NJ: Prentice- Hall, Inc., Chapter 1). We will use this framework to link these concepts to the cannabis industry. Together we will look at how cannabis products are created and how they move through the cannabis supply chain. Within the scope of the course we will look at raw materials, production, creating inventory, logistics, information systems, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), sustainability, the retailers (dispensaries) while understanding how the cannabis supply chain creates value for the consumer. credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): CANN 1560
