BUSN 3314 - Expanding Your Brand Through Licensing Business Department Licensing is a growing business format that has applications in many diverse industries. This course examines licensing regulations, including methods of obtaining trademarks and copyrights to protect various types of creative expression under U.S. and international law. It familiarizes students with the process of getting permission to use intellectual property in fields such as text, artwork, fashion and music. It reviews the latest case law and trademark and copyright regulations, including an analysis of how to recognize works that are in the public domain.
