FASH 3515 - Advanced Buying and Planning Fashion Merchandising & Marketing Department Students will obtain a thorough understanding of the financial buying and planning processes and their impact on the retailer’s performance. Using simulations and real-world examples, students will be involved in sales planning, classification and inventory planning, the open-to-buy process, mark-up pricing and markdown strategies, and promotional planning in order to develop a six-month plan. Students will be exposed to retail reports and how to analyze them to determine strategies for how to move the business forward. credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): FASH 1210, FASH 2560, TECH 1310
