The objective of this course is to understand the behavior of the U.S. Economy as a whole. Investment, GDP, interest rates, the budget deficit, inflation, unemployment, banking, exchange rates, monetary and fiscal policies are terms which appear frequently in the media, but are often little understood. Macroeconomics studies these aggregates and their interconnections and looks at the influence of the Federal Reserve and the Federal government.
