This course will examine the cultural, political, sociological and economic history of the 20th and 21st centuries internationally, and how the elements that shaped those centuries impact the fashion, culture, art, design, music and film of today. The course will also demonstrate the cause and effect process of history, how historical events impact cultural and fashion trends, and the cultural connections that one must be able to make to pursue a career in fashion forecasting, styling, publishing, buying or design. credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): FASH 1110
