This course explores the vital and expanding role of international retailing today. Retail strategies in existing and emerging markets will be discussed. The course will focus on understanding how international retailers have succeeded in the United States, as well as the global expansion plans necessary for United States-based retailers to succeed. Students will understand how product assortments are bought in order to satisfy the various consumer needs based on store locations.
