MNGT 3110 - Project Management

Marketing, Management & Finance
Previous Course Number: MNGT 240

The business of fashion is constantly changing. New stores are opened, national and international business expansion and acquisitions are planned, new advertising campaigns to launch new products or services are developed, etc. Organizations hire project managers to plan, execute and manage these changes. This course focuses on the non-technical skills needed for proper project scoping, planning, execution and completion, specifically involving nine project “knowledge areas,” the five project management “process groups,” and the four-way constraints of project management (scope, time, cost and quality). Through MS Project software, students will learn how to create and manage a project to its successful completion. In the ever-changing world of business and technology, skillful project management is ever more challenging, and this course will help prepare for success as a project manager.
