This honors-level course explores the fundamental concepts of financial analysis and management. It is designed to provide an overview of the three components of finance: financial markets, investments, and financial management. Subject to modification to accommodate the learning requirements of the class, and based on time available, topics to be discussed include: an overview of financial management and financial markets; financial statements and financial performance evaluation; time value of money; risk, return and diversification; stocks; bonds and, time permitting, capital budgeting and the current financial market situation. credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): ACCT 2700H, ECON 2100H, MATH 1501, MATH 2750 and enrollment in the Fashion Scholars Program, or by permission of the Dean of Academic Affairs
