MATH 1100 - College AlgebraArts & Sciences Previous Course Number: MFTC 114
This course establishes a foundation of mathematical modeling. Topics that will be covered include linear, quadratic, power, exponential, and logarithmic functions. Topics are developed in a practical context with applications to business and economic concepts such as profit, revenue, cost, break-even analysis, supply and demand, and depreciation. Systems of equations and inequalities, matrices, and linear programming will also be covered. credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): MATH 0710 or Placement Exam
