WORK 301 - Junior Work Project The intent of this course is to expose second-semester sophomore and junior transfer students to areas of the fashion and marketing industries prior to their Senior Co-op program. The internship must be in an area relevant to the student’s overall career goals and experience. Students will gain experience in areas such as retail management, marketing, promotion, wholesale sales, publications, merchandising, buying, production, and product development. The internship gives students an opportunity to evaluate, appraise, and relate actual job experience to work learned in the classroom. At the end of the semester students are evaluated and graded by their supervisor. In addition, students must attend several required seminars throughout the semester, prepare a written report, and give an oral presentation on their experience. Fall, Spring, and Summer.
