MFTC 114 - College Algebra
This course establishes a foundation of mathematical modeling. Linear, quadratic, power, exponential, and logarithmic functions will be covered. Topics are developed in a practical context with applications to business and economic concepts such as profit, revenue, cost, break-even analysis, supply and demand, and depreciation. Additional topics to be covered include systems of equations and inequalities, matrices, and linear programming.
3 credits Prerequisite: Passing placement exam score, or Elements of Algebra, or Introduction to Algebra
