ACOM 300 - Junior Writing Topics A required course that students take in their junior year, Junior Writing Topics seeks to expand a student’s ability to read more attentively and to write more critically. Topics and issues of contemporary America are covered, including popular culture, the environment, media, the benefits and hazards of globalization, gender, human rights, sexuality, warfare, world religions, and global terrorism and its appropriate responses. Students are taught to excel in various types of writing, from the summary to the full-length essay. When appropriate, guest speakers and films will complement the class.
