ACOM 099 - Writing Essentials

This course is designed to review grammar, usage, and sentence structure as they are employed to write paragraphs and short essays. Students will identify their specific personal writing problems and receive guidance in correcting them. Reading comprehension plays an important role in the development of students’ writing, and the course also provides an introduction to critical reading and thinking. Students read examples of successful writing and discuss various writing techniques employed to achieve specific results. This is a remedial non-credit course. See Credits and Hours for explanation.
