Transfer Credit Guidelines
|
|
Transfer of credit to LIM College involves consideration of comparability of coursework and applicability of that coursework to a current LIM College graduate degree program. The maximum number of transfer credits awarded towards a graduate degree is six (6) credits.
In addition, the following applies:
-
Graduate courses presented must have been earned at an institution authorized to grant graduate degrees.
-
Graduate courses presented must be appropriate to the student’s graduate program and must be analogous to a course required or an elective of that program.
-
Graduate courses presented for transfer must have been taken within 10 years of application to LIM College.
-
Graduate courses presented must have been completed with grades of B or better.
-
Graduate courses accepted for transfer credit are not used in computing the student’s academic average and cannot be used as grade replacements for courses taken at LIM College.
-
Graduate credit based upon internships, externships, portfolio, or other experiential learning
bases will not be considered for transfer.
-
Transcripts of coursework not earned through a US institution or through an established exchange or articulation agreement with LIM College must be evaluated through a NACES approved evaluation service.
Students interested in the possible transfer of credits should contact the Office of the Registrar.
