Graduation and Commencement

Graduation

In order to be evaluated for graduation, all students must submit a current Application for Graduation Audit effective during their final semester at LIM College. Students not currently registered for classes must be on matriculation maintenance during the semester in which they wish to graduate.

LIM has three graduating classes per year: January, May and August. Students removed from the current graduation year list must reapply for the next available graduation year and date.

The Application for Graduation Audit is sent from the Office of the Registrar via the student’s LIM email account. Students are expected to check their LIM email accounts frequently.

Commencement

Students are eligible to attend the Commencement ceremony during the academic year in which they are graduating. One Commencement ceremony is held in May for all three graduating classes. Only students who have submitted a completed Application for Graduation Audit by the due date and who have an eligible graduation plan on file with the Office of Academic Advising, will be guaranteed seating at the Commencement ceremony and inclusion in the Commencement program. Note that participation in the Commencement ceremony does not constitute graduation from the institution.
