Senior Semester Academic Policy

The Senior Semester is a 13-credit semester consisting of the following courses: Senior Capstone, Senior Orals,

and Organizational Behavior & Leadership. These courses are interrelated and must be taken simultaneously. The Senior Capstone and Senior Orals courses are major-specific. Therefore, students must take the Senior Capstone and Senior Orals courses aligned with their degree. To be eligible for the Senior Semester, students must have reached senior standing and all program-specific required coursework must be completed before they begin, including all required Work Projects. Students are not permitted to take additional courses during this semester. Any student who would like an exception to be made to this policy must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 and submit a petition to the Assistant Dean of Student Academic of Affairs for pre-approval.

When selecting a Senior Co-op, students must adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the Senior Semester Handbook. Students will automatically fail this course if they: quit or abandon the internship (this includes accepting a position and then quitting to take another position), get fired from the internship, or fail to complete the required days and hours of the internship. Please note that the preceding is not an exhaustive list of the circumstances that will result in automatic failure.
