Arts & Sciences
This class enhances international students’ academic, social and professional communication skills. It does so by engaging students in writing, listening and speaking activities relevant to their curriculum. Students will learn the correct usage of the English language, and by engaging in conversation groups and working on academic assignments from individual course schedules, they will be better able to develop language competency within the context of their college experiences. In addition, this course seeks to foster an understanding of American culture and the social skills necessary for effective personal and professional communication.
