FASH 2415 - Fashion Writing

Fashion Merchandising
Previous Course Number: FASH 245

Students will first learn the essentials in fashion history, costume history, art history, graphic history, and film that fashion writers must draw upon to effectively describe and discuss a collection correctly. Students will then apply this knowledge to their own fashion articles. In today’s world, fashion writers must keep up to date with world events, advances in technology, and international news, and this course will require students to draw upon the world beyond fashion to create their final feature story.
