It offers an overview of fundamental economic principles and covers the trends and news impacting the economy today. Key topic areas include microeconomic principles such as supply and demand and macroeconomic measures such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and inflation. Also covered are the business cycle, the role of government, the global economy, and frameworks for non-orthodox approaches, such as Freakonomics.
