PSYC 2110 - Psychology Arts & Sciences This course introduces students to the major schools of thought and essential language of psychology. In dialogue with the students’ own experience, learning interests, and questions, course material includes a comprehensive view of psychology, utilizing four major psychological perspectives: psychodynamic (Freudian), behaviorist, humanistic, and cognitive-developmental. Topics include personality development, motivation, learning and abnormality. Students explore identity and human potential, and will develop a basic vocabulary in psychology, an understanding of the major perspectives in psychology, and the ability to think critically about the dynamics of human behavior. credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): ENGL 1100
