CARE 1620 - Internship 1 Career & Internship Services Students will engage in a professional-level work experience relevant to their area of interest within the business of fashion. For Internship 1, this is often an opportunity for students to test out their intended career before fully committing to it. The details of this work-based learning experience will be agreed upon by the student in conjunction with the course instructor and the internship site supervisor. The experience must be a real-world application of classroom knowledge that allows students to explore the industry, acquire valuable job skills, build professional relationships, and focus on and refine their career goals. Students will engage in weekly class meetings (in-person or online) and assignments to reflect on and analyze their internship experiences. The instructor will support and guide students through their internships by providing professional development opportunities and encouraging peer-to-peer learning to help them make the most of their internships. Students will present an analysis of their internship experience at the end of the semester. credit(s): 2 Prerequisite(s): CARE 1300
