SOCI 2315 - Aesthetics Arts & Sciences This introductory course allows students to explore the various conceptions of natural and artistic beauty advanced by philosophers and art critics throughout human history. Through an analysis of classical and contemporary philosophical texts, cultural artifacts, and the fundamental principles of fashion and design, students develop an understanding of the complex relationships between aesthetic experience, culture and morality. credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): ENGL 1055 or ENGL 1060 or ENGL 1095 or ENGL 1100
