FASH 2612 - Sustainability and the Future of Fashion Fashion Merchandising This course introduces students to the concept of sustainability and the often difficult relationship it has with fashion. Coursework topics focus on defining sustainability and the environment, the global effects on resources in the past, present and future apparel supply chain, and the long-term impact on consumerism in today’s technology-driven business landscape. Taught in three modules throughout the semester, the course will include class discussions, hands-on learning, and industry field trips. Through these, students will gain knowledge of sustainability practices and develop skills to become ambassadors of change in the fashion and related businesses. credit(s): 3
