BUSN 4960 - International Business Senior Capstone (6CR) (Amended 10/10/2017 - Effective Fall 2017)

Marketing, Management & Finance
Developing a strategic plan is essential before starting and operating a business successfully. In this course, students will learn about higher levels of strategic management and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in international environments. Students will demonstrate prior learning obtained in business and management-related courses by serving as consultants to an entrepreneurial venture in need of a plan for a viable, sustainable and innovative global venture, or through the development of a comprehensive business plan, and through simulation, exploring the implementation and development of the plan over the course of the semester. Working individually and in groups students will develop a deep understanding of the business opportunity, including analysis of the industry and competitive landscape. Using case study, simulation and guest speakers, students will evaluate a series of business scenarios leading to the development of a business plan that is suitable for presentation to investors, vendors and key employees.
