EECM 1890 - Career Exploration Internship Experiential Education & Career Management The intent of this course is to add to the student’s exposure to areas of the fashion and related industries beyond the required experiential education courses. The internship must be in an area relevant to the student’s overall career goals and experience. Students may gain exposure to various aspects of the fashion and related industries in areas such as marketing, publishing, merchandising, buying, or product development. The internship gives students an opportunity to evaluate, appraise and relate practical experience to concepts learned in the classroom. At the end of the semester students are evaluated and graded by their supervisor. In addition, each student must identify internship-related objectives and maintain a journal to document how these objectives were achieved. Students may not be enrolled in this course at the same time as they are enrolled in another credited internship program. This is a restricted course and students must pre-qualify based on a minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 3.0, securing an approved internship and permission from the EECM Department. This course does not fulfill any degree requirements. credit(s): 1
