COMM 2710H - Honors Professional Communications Arts & Sciences This honors-level course prepares students to interact effectively in the professional world. The course addresses individual and group communications, face-to-face and technology-based exchanges, and spoken and written formats. Students learn about communications theory and organizational dynamics through readings and class discussions. They learn how theory plays out in practice by analyzing professional roles, behavior, and decision-making presented in case studies. Individual and group assignments, self-analysis, and instructor and peer review enable students to improve their communication skills. All course activities develop students’ interpersonal skills in the context of current issues in the global business community. credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in the Fashion Scholars Program or by permission of the Department Chair.
