SOCI 2314 - Introduction to Queer Studies Arts & Sciences This course challenges existing conceptualizations of sexuality, gender, and sexual identity. Students are encouraged to examine the meaning, performance and undermining of sexual identities as cultural and historical practices that change over time. As an interdisciplinary course, it draws on essays, literature, theater, art, film and music from diverse cultures that convey the representations of sexualized selves evident in the human community. credit(s): 3
