This course will introduce the student to computer-aided drawing for the home. Students will utilize Google Sketchup Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator software to create a home furnishings portfolio. Students will model and create 3D rooms containing windows, doors, rugs, floorings, moldings, furniture, lamps and other objects. The rooms will be textured in Photoshop. Utilizing Google Sketchup Pro and Illustrator, students will model and draw 3D and 2D home furnishings and accessories such as linens, tabletop accessories, lamps, vases, etc. In addition, students will explore the vast Google warehouse to import home furnishings and accessories, furniture, cabinets, windows, doors and more. Students will create a home furnishings portfolio for both digital and print presentation.
