This course will introduce the student to Computer aided drawing for the Home. Students will utilize Sketchup Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator software to create a home furnishings portfolio. Students will model and create 3d rooms containing windows, doors, rugs, floorings, moldings, furniture, lamps, and objects. The rooms will be textured in Photoshop. Utilizing Sketchup Pro and Illustrator students will model and draw 3d and 2d home furnishings and accessories such as linens, tabletop accessories, lamps, vases etc. In addition students will explore the vast Google warehouse to import home furnishings and accessories, furniture, cabinets, windows, doors and more. Students will create a Home Furnishings portfolio that is both digital for the web and for print presentation.
