This course focuses on the Chinese language as it is used in social and business interactions. The course emphasis is on studying, speaking, and reading Mandarin. Topics include proper pronunciation, idiomatic expressions, dialogue, and reading. The course also emphasizes proper Chinese etiquette customs, and values as well as the current geopolitical situation in China. (offered in Spring only)
