VMER 320 - Visual Merchandising: History, Theory, and Practice Students will be exposed to an historical overview of the visual merchandising industry, with references to cultural, socioeconomic, and demographic influences. This course provides the advanced visual merchandising student with an exciting compendium and reference to the evolution and growing maturity of a relatively young profession. Students will develop a working familiarity with definitions, terms, and vocabulary that are necessary for practitioners in the field. Coursework addresses an understanding and analysis of strategy, design, color, and composition. 3 credits Prerequisite: VMER 250
