ACOM 258 - 20th Century British Literature

This course surveys the novels, plays, and poems of prominent British authors who wrote in the previous century. Themes of national and individual identity, the lasting effects of two world wars, the questioning of values, love, isolation, and the role of family are investigated in seminal works of art. Authors include James Joyce, Virginia Woolfe, William Butler Yeats, Bernard Shaw and others.
