ACOM 235 - The Vietnam Era A political, social, and cultural exploration of the tumultuous 1960s and early 1970s, this course looks at the prevailing historical attitudes that convinced America to undertake a more than decade-long war in Southeast Asia. It also examines the Cold War and dissent at home. The civil rights movement, women’s liberation, and the gay-lesbian movements, as well as the modern renaissance in music, art, and literature are also explored. 3 credits Prerequisite: ACOM 102, ACOM 111
