MFTC 314H - Honors Finance This honors level course explores the fundamental concepts of financial analysis and management. It is designed to provide an overview of the three components of finance: financial markets, investments and financial management. Subject to modification to accommodate the learning requirements of the class, and based on time available, topics to be discussed include: an overview of financial management and financial markets; financial statements and financial performance evaluation; time value of money; risk, return and diversification; stocks; bonds and, time permitting, capital budgeting and the current financial market situation. 3 credits Prerequisite: MFTC 214, MFTC 204H, MFTC 209H, MFTC 315H Corequisite: Enrollment in the Fashion Scholars Program or by permission of the Dean of Academics
