MFTC 114 - College Algebra This course establishes a foundation of mathematical modeling. Topics that will be covered include linear, quadratic, power, exponential, and logarithmic functions. Topics are developed in a practical context with applications to business and economic concepts such as profit, revenue, cost, break-even analysis, supply and demand, and depreciation. Systems of equations and inequalities, matrices, and linear programming will also be covered. 3 credits Prerequisite: MFTC 097 or MFTC 099 or placement into MFTC 114
