Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is based on the credits completed at LIM College, plus any accepted transfer credits, accumulated by the end of any given semester and the attainment of the minimum cumulative GPA for the entering semester indicated below. Please note, students enrolled part-time are assessed for placement on below satisfactory academic progress chart based on attempted credits. All students’ records are reviewed at the end of each fall and spring semester. Students who fail to make SAP are placed on Academic Probation .

A student placed on Academic Probation must satisfy the terms of their academic probation plan to avoid Academic Dismissal from the College. Any student who does not return to good academic standing as described herein is subject to Academic Dismissal from the College. Students on Academic Probation may not register for online or hybrid courses. In the event a student is academically dismissed from the College, they may petition in writing to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to return for a semester on Conditional Academic Probation.
