2018-2019 College Catalog [ARCHIVED CATALOG]
Academic Probation
To be considered in good academic standing, graduate students must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00. Students whose cumulative GPA is below a 3.00 are placed on academic probation for one semester. During that time, the student must return to good academic standing by raising their cumulative GPA to a 3.00 by the end of the probationary period. If students do not raise their overall GPA to at least a 3.00 by the end of the probationary period, they will be subject to dismissal . To assist the student in focusing on her/his academic performance, participation in one-credit internships and volunteer opportunities through the Department of Experiential Education & Career Management are restricted. On-Campus students on academic probation may not register for online or hybrid courses. In an effort to help the student to achieve academic success, he or she may register for no more than nine credits. Students who wish to take more than nine credits must gain approval from the Dean of Graduate Studies.
