Long-Term Absence

Students who must be absent for more than three classes in a row due to serious illness or personal or family emergency must contact the Dean of Graduate Studies or designee as well as their instructors. Recommendations regarding the student’s enrollment status (withdrawal, incompletes, excused absences) will be made on a case-by-case basis.  Students not contacting the Dean of Graduate Studies will be subject to administrative withdrawal(see administrative withdrawal policy). Students who need to take a medical leave from the College must contact the Office of Counseling Services. Please refer to the Medical Withdrawal Policy for more information.
