Fashion Merchandising, AAS

The two-year Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Fashion Merchandising degree program offers a curriculum that meets the business requirements of the fashion and related industries with an emphasis on skills that will set you apart.

This is a highly specialized, information-intensive academic program that provides you with the necessary foundation to jump right into your career or enter a bachelor’s degree program.

The AAS curriculum requires 67/68 credits and a 2.00 minimum grade point average. The AAS includes 62 credits of required courses (which include 16 liberal arts credits) and six credits of liberal arts electives.

The following credits must be earned prior to starting an internship:

The last consecutive 33 credits must be completed at LIM College in order to fulfill the residency requirement (including one Work Project).

All entering students prior academic records are evaluated to determine Math and English capabilities. This includes SAT and/or ACT math and writing results and results of English and math courses taken at other colleges. See the LIM College website for current criteria. This information is used when planning a student’s academic program, which may include required remedial Math and/or English courses. Remedial courses do not carry credit towards the degree but do carry hours which count towards full-time status. See Credits and Hours  and Remedial Course Policy  for further information.
