In this course students will review and discuss the regulatory issues surrounding the cannabis industry. Currently, the cannabis industry operates under state guidelines in those state where both medicinal and recreations cannabis has been approved. These regulations vary from state to state and are compounded by the fact that the federal government still considers the cultivation and consumption of cannabis to be illegal as listed as a schedule one drug. Students will develop an understanding of how these laws and regulations impact the growing, distribution and consumption of cannabis.
