FASH 2612 - Sustainability and the Future of Fashion Fashion Merchandising This course introduces students to the concept, history and science of sustainability and its relationship within the business of fashion. Coursework topics focus on defining sustainability, understanding human-induced climate change in the environment, and the local and global effects fashion and industry has on the Earth and its peoples. Past, present, and future apparel supply chains, practices, and technologies will be examined and taught through class discussions and readings, hands-on learning, and through industry visits. Students will gain knowledge of sustainability practices and skills for fashion and related businesses. credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): FASH 1110
