With the explosion of outsourcing of many functions, such as manufacturing, design, customer service and distribution, companies must focus on their core competencies. This course provides a working knowledge of various management specializations. Topics include APICS certification programs, operations strategies, competitiveness, productivity, product and service design, capacity planning, process selection, facility layout, design of work systems, and quality management.
