MATH 1050 - Mathematics for Professional Studies

This course is designed to enrich students’ critical thinking and quantitative skills through solving real world problems. It accentuates conceptual understanding of basic statistics through a hands-on approach. Students will engage in activities that include graphing, finding and interpreting descriptive statistics, and learning about personal and managerial financial concepts. This course builds on mathematics skills that are essential to be successful in the business of fashion and related industries. This course is only open to students pursuing a degree in Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS).
