FASH 2218 - Fashion Design Studio

The Fashion Design Studio elective offers students the opportunity to explore the design side of the fashion industry, utilizing basic design techniques and concepts. Highlights include drawing and rendering of the fashion coquis, pattern-making through draping and flat pattern methods, an understanding of materials/textiles for specific design purposes, laying out and cutting of pattern pieces, and the execution of a final design challenge. Classifications for design projects can include apparel and/or accessories. Students are challenged to conceive, develop and execute original fashion designs incorporating professional techniques.
