MFTC 314 - Finance


This course explores the fundamental concepts of financial analysis and management. It is designed to provide an overview of the three components of finance: financial markets, investments, and financial management. Subject to modification to accommodate the learning requirements of the class, topics to be discussed include an overview of financial management and financial markets; financial statements and ratio analysis; time value of money; risk, return, and diversification; and stocks, bonds, and capital budgeting.
