ACOM 231 - Cross-Cultural Communications


This course explores other cultures, other ways of thinking, and ways in which groups outside the mainstream of American thought engage the world. The course examines the principles and processes of communicating from one culture to another, the inherent differences among peoples, and the places where humanity meets. Focus is on perception, ways of thinking, verbal and non-verbal communication, and the idea of reaching across cultural boundaries.
