FASH 421 - Senior Capstone Orals - Fashion Merchandising


The capstone project requires the application, analysis and synthesis of the fashion curriculum to create and analyze the assortment planning process in a fashion business. Students will follow standard industry processes including analysis of the consumer, product ideation, product development, global sourcing strategies, and costing among other key issues relevant to the fashion industry assortment planning process. Projects can be based on womenswear, menswear, children’s wear, accessories, as well as home fashions.

Prerequisite: FASH 105-Fashion Fundamentals, FASH 233-Applied Concepts in Fashion Merchandising, FASH 270-Textiles, FASH 290-CAD for Merchandising, FASH 315-Product Development, FASH 321-Web Product Data Management
